The modest room was immaculate, as was the bathroom. We were from out if town, and were having a hard time finding a hotel that could guarantee a pet-free room (I love critters, but many of them raise hives and trigger my asthma.).nThe cooling was perfect, the room was quiet, and the king-sized sheets soft--all for less than $60!nWe were so pleased, and very grateful for the hospitality shown us at the Sallisaw Inn.

The motel is clean comfortable and quiet. The owners are great. The rooms are clean and well maintained. I was here for work but would definitely come back with my wife and kids.

Staying during transition to other city. Rooms clean. Owners are cool. Down to earth clean family business. The only place to stay in Sallisaw

*This evening that I’m writing this*nZERO stars because I did not even get to stay. The gentleman was nice and attentive so I was excited to give him my business, but when I disclosed I had a service dog (out of courtesy because I am not required to), I was denied a room. He said all the pet friendly rooms were taken and the only remaining room was not pet friendly and he wouldn’t allow us to rent it. I tried to explain service dogs aren’t pets and rental based on my SD was not an option. He still refused saying “no animals of any kind it doesn’t matter.” Fortunately a motel across town had a vacancy and knew they couldn’t even so much as charge extra for a SD, otherwise myself, husband, mother, and 3yr old would’ve been sleeping on the side of the road. DO NOT rent from these people who so freely practice discrimination against those of us with certain disabilities and wouldn’t even take the time to review the ADA before refusing us a room for the ONE night we needed it. I will be filing a formal complaint with the DoJ in accordance with the ADA and hopefully that will force this business to learn or even care about our rights so this doesn’t happen to future disabled persons.
