These quaint little rooms have been totally redone with fashionable furnishings and decor. Everything is very comfortable and clean. If you like, you can even use the shared community outdoor spaces to share a cold one while you barbeque out on the grill.

My family has been supporting the Blue Door since they opened- staying with them multiple times every year as well as recommending them to friends and family. Over the years the owners have become extremely disgruntled and rude. This past weekend 6 members of our family rented kayaks from them to float down the Illinois River. They made us load the kayaks ourselves, has us sign a bogus contract (stating “if you drown don’t sue us”), gave us zero instruction about the dangers of the river (6 people have drowned since Memorial Day), and advised us that we didn’t need life jackets. While unloading the kayaks, the owner punched me in the arm and told me to help and that’s only the beginning of her extremely unprofessional behavior. Thankfully we went against their negligent instructions and took life jackets or half of our party would not have survived being capsized by a boat. They did not show back up to pick up the kayaks at the end of the float so we had to load them back up ourselves and take them back to the Blue Door. That same night we used their outdoor kitchen for a pizza dinner which has been an annual tradition at their facility since they opened. The female owner was completely inebriated, yelling at guests to move their cars, and displaying completely bizarre “customer service”. I will never support this place again.

Very cool highway inn near Tenkiller dam. The rooms have been completely remodeled and have a Sante Fe vibe. There is beautiful artwork inside and out. The patio is inviting and the owners are very informative and helpful. I highly recommend a stay at this place if you are trout fishing or spending time on the lake.

Perfect weekend get away! Cabins have a Santa Fe vibe, wonderful outdoor kitchen, great owners. Just perfect! We'll be back!

What a lovely spot to relax and reconnect! Pat and Jane are amazing hosts. 2nd time staying and so happy we did!
