Wednesday night my husband and I, along with our 3 small children were stranded late at night in Raleigh after our car broke down. We were SOO lucky that it just so happened to be in the back parking lot to the holiday inn. After waiting hours for a tow truck, we arrived, exhausted and overwhelmed. Shout out to the BEST customer service I have ever had. The man at the front desk so nice it just made a bad night 10x better. I will never forget his help and his kindness that evening . I wish I could remember his name, but if Holiday Inn is reading this, you have an employee of the decade. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and my kids really enjoyed the view of our little city.
The worst experience I ever had with a hotel. They said check-in was at 3, and I didn't get checked in until 4. But then my room wasn't even cleaned, with trash at the nightstand and dirty towels in the bathtub. Their elevators were broken at that time, and we had to take the service elevator, but then their housekeepers and maintenance guys didn't wear a mask in there. Yeah the location is great but avoid this place at all costs. They wanted to move me to a new room, and I asked for a refund and booked a different hotel instead.
This hotel has a great location but needs some updating. The main door of the entrance was broken, there wasn’t a breakfast area, and the elevators to the garage area had to be reset multiple times. Our door to the restroom in our room was falling off of the hinges and was hard to open and close.
Okay except for some issues with top three floors. And a few bottom floors. My room on 17 was fine until elevator broke.
We needed a hotel urgently and this place was great! We stayed for one night but I’d have been happy to stay for more! Great safe location and at night me and my family all walked to the shops and back and it was a great walk with some great history to learn about!
