The Wilcox on Melrose

My partner and I spent Labor Day weekend with Robert at The Wilcox on Melrose, and I cannot say enough about how incredible the stay was. The home itself is gorgeous and decorated with beautiful antiques, and the landscaping around the house is immaculate. Robert was gracious enough to cook us a wonderful breakfast each morning, complete with coffee, eggs, bacon, and items from the local bakery. The location is perfect - walking distance to downtown, and a short drive away from Saluda and many great local waterfalls and hiking spots. I would absolutely recommend The Wilcox to anyone looking for a weekend getaway, and I will definitely be returning.

Wow.. This place is one of the most accommodating B and B I have every stayed. The host Robert Lange Is so knowledgeable about the history of the town and it's past. I had the fortunate experience to be given tours of the area and it is somewhere I could see myself. The Wilcox Room is fantastic and the King bed is like sleeping on a cloud. So relaxing I did not want to leave.

The stay here was great, all the rooms were very spacious and clean. Robert, the owner, has so much knowledge on the towns history as well. Would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Tryon!

The staff was all super friendly and helpful! I would especially like to point out our housekeeper, Reba, who went above and beyond for our customer service. Would come back just to see her :) Also room service was phenomenal!

The inn is absolutely beautiful with a huge backyard and hot tub, the front porch is a great place to drink coffee in the morning and the host is so knowledgeable about the towns history.
