Courtyard by Marriott Carolina Beach Oceanfront

First of all I reserved my room about 2 weeks ago. Which to me means my room should be ready upon arrival. I waited an hour to be completely checked in. I'll take into consideration that it's Spring Break weekend. Other than that I really love the room and location. Our balcony oversees the beach which my family loved! They enjoyed the indoor pool being that it got cool after a certain time. Overall I'm willing to come again, but not at Spring Break.

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Truly a kid-friendly place. The manager was always very attentive and always checking on the guest as we pass through the lobby. The COVID-19 rules for the place was strictly enforced, including checking to make sure the pool did not exceed the number of guests allowed at once. Views from the room were beautiful.

Definitely not worth the price. This room was $250 for one night (after getting $200 off because of the credit card we have).nFor the amount of money you pay for the oceanfront room with a balcony at a nice hotel, it was not what you would expect and it was not anything special. The view was nice (obviously), since the hotel is right on the beach.nThe balcony had cheap, small plastic chairs and chipping paint. The cleanliness and upkeep was questionable in certain areas of the room- dirty doors, rusty cheap doorknobs, dirty side tables, some body hairs in the shower and bathroom. The phone was broken and old. The toilet paper was basically tissue paper- my boyfriend had better toilet paper when he was deployed. The bed was supposed to be a King but for some reason we wound up with a Queen. Also, the room smelled like smoke or marijuana or maybe a combination of both. Then, the breakfast items they offered in the morning were for an additional price (starting at a minimum of 13 dollars).nnWe don't often splurge and spend the money on the nicer hotels with the great locations, so for the price of the room (and the fact that it's a Marriot), it was really underwhelming and disappointing.

Front desk supervisor, Sara provided excellent customer service, replied to all questions, suggested dinner locations, and etc. Suite accommodation was clean and spacious. Suite with microwave and refrigerator was perfect, except for lack of utensils and plates. Some of the usual room items were missing such as extra rolls of toilet paper and bath wash towels. Gym had a few pieces of equipment with one treadmill needing repairs. Indoor heated pool and restroom were fine. Location of hotel is perfect for those who want to enjoy the beach right outside your door. Pandemic has reduced several normal expected amenities. But, the sunrise and ocean still available to enjoy.

Actually pretty bummed. The hotel overall was OK. Good location and nice pool. Liked the access to the beach.nThe room was pretty dirty, and the bathroom was pretty gross. We tried to get continental breakfast but they told us we had to pay for each item?? So we left for coffee and breakfast elsewhere.nBrought my husband and 15 month old daughter to stay for one night just to get away, after playing in the pool I went to run my daughter a bath and the water filled up a disgusting brown color. Drained it and tried again for it to be a yellowing brown color. Decided against bathing my daughter there... yuck! Told the lobby and they said something about water pressure or the water being “off for thirty minutes” that afternoon?! No idea but glad we only stayed a night bc I couldn’t bath my little girl!!
