A welcome sight for weary Appalachian Trail hikers. We came early to familiarize ourselves with Franklin, on the way down to Amicalola Lodge in Georgia.nnThe owner, Zen, gave us the room downstairs for privacy. The coffee pot comes on about 7:00. He stacks a wide variety of books on display fir those rainy days. Zen offers much trail knowledge for the wise listener.

I’ve been here for a couple days and I feel right at home. Bunks are comfy, vibes are good. Zen is a very solid guy! He also does shuttles. All is good at Gooder Grove :)

Me and my husband had a really great time here. Zen has an excellent vibe and fun personality, we had memorable conversations. Also the hostel is perfect for hikers, you can find everything you need, Zen can give you some advice what to expect on the trail etc.nThe hostel has a jacuzzi tub in the basement and i had a chance to try it, and wow thats all the luxury you can even imagine after long day in the woods. So just loved to stay here;) Thank you Zen
