Holiday Inn Express & Suites Roanoke Rapids SE

The room was not very clean. One would think that in the midst of COVID the basic things such as the toilet would be clean. There was a urine stain underneath the toilet seat lid. Luckily I bring Clorox wipes when traveling. The front desk staff did not know the floor plan of the hotel well. I asked her if there was a vending machine on site and she stated she thinks there’s one around the corner on the first floor and one on the third floor. I checked around the corner on the first floor but only found an ice machine. I checked the third floor, no vending machine. I went on a wild goose chase in search of a vending machine for a drink to go with my dinner only to discover there was an actual “shop” with drinks, snacks and toiletries right next to the front desk. And......I had to pay her for the purchase. One would think that if you have to accept money for shop purchases you’d know where a customer can purchase snacks. I chose this hotel because of the reviews on cleanliness and that it was not. The shower was dirty as well. I expected better for the amount of money spent.

Amazing experience! The entire Hotel staff, including maintenance, were above and beyond incredible, friendly, kind, resourceful, and understanding! Would highly recommend the Roanoke Rapids Holiday Inn Express. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were often seen sanitizing the public areas including: the elevator, lounge area, and bathrooms often!

I had to stay in town for work and they put my coworkers and I at this hotel and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms have been updated since a lot of the photos posted online and they are actually quite nice. Great customer service, decent breakfast every morning and a good night's sleep.nnNot much more I could ask for in a town this far away from anything. No offense- it is in the middle of nowhere. So, if you are here for business or just need a place to sleep as you are passing through - I recommend.

Very clean motel. Great covid restriction. Would say again is not hauling a boat. There is no electric hook to charge boat batteries. Had to park at another motel that had hook up and walk back to Holiday motel. Great breakfast.
