The Lakeside Resort

We had a wonderful time staying here for a week. It was the perfect getaway and there were several activities to keep us entertained like swimming, game room, paddleboarding, sauna, and axe throwing. The hosts were very helpful and gave us privacy. The house and property were very clean. We couldn't have asked for a better stay and plan to come back again with friends and family.

Me and my husband just spent three nights at this location. And it was absolutely amazing, we're looking for a getaway for our 4 year anniversary. This place exceeded all of our expectations, and it doesn't hurt that it's absolutely breathtaking. We were given more privacy than we needed. but yet anything that you needed they were right there if you needed help with anything. All the amenities were amazing from the bar in the game room to the pool and of course the beautiful lake. The bedrooms were big and more than what we expected. And everything was very clean. We were looking forward to this experience and we are so happy that we did it. We would recommend this to any of our friends or family. It's so much better than a hotel. And hands down we will be visiting again.I want to say thank you to Mark and Kathy for being excellent host and for sharing your beautiful home with us. You helped us create an anniversary that we will not forget.

Our family of 9 stayed at The Lakeside Resort over Labor Day weekend. The owners/hosts were great and very helpful anytime we needed something. The house was fantastic and had something for everyone. We enjoyed swimming and grilling by the pool, playing in the game room (which had just about any game you can imagine) and we enjoyed all of the custom artwork and decorations. One of our favorite activities was the Twilight Cruise on the lake at sunset, which the owner offered to take us on. We all have a very wonderful time and would recommend this resort to anyone.

A hidden gem in Eastern North Carolina. This is a modern, clean, well managed operation. I really enjoyed the kayaking where I was able view bald eagles, ospreys, and a number of other birds. The laid-back atmosphere made it feel like home. Mark was always available and very attentive.

Everything was absolutely perfect. We were given privacy for the week we stayed. This place is magnificent. I still can't believe it's where we got to vacation. Mark and Kathy were so sweet and easy to talk to. The little details in the house were amazing as well. We loved the pool and our quality time we had there. If you're looking to reconnect with your significant other there is no better place. We spent time having coffee looking out on the lake. The house was pristine and we loved every part of it. The memories we made will last a lifetime.
