Comfort Inn South - Springfield

We had a great stay and a good night's sleep. Staff were friendly and respectful. Hot breakfast was a welcome treat!

I would not recommend this place to stay. Over Spring break, I booked a room for three nights, for my daughter and I. We specifically were looking for a hotel that had an indoor pool, and hottub, along with certain items for breakfast. I called to ask if the pool/hot tub were working, as well as what was on the breakfast menu. When we got there, our room was not ready, we waited in the lobby for about an hour. The room itself was nice, clean, bed was comfortable, and no complaints here. Then the next day, we went down for breakfast. What we had been looking for was not available, the food that they did have was all but gone, the drinks were gone, they were out of cereal and milk, yogurt, etc. So we went to breakfast somewhere else.nnLater that day as we arrived back at the hotel, we were told the pool was closed for cleaning (only a few hours, no biggie) but that the hot tub was broken, and had been for a while. We waited and they opened the pool back up and everything was okay.nnNext day for breakfast, they were out of many things, I was told at the front desk, that they were out of food, they were busier than expected, and they needed the truck to come but that it would be next week. I was offered a brown sac breakfast to go. It was supposed to have burritos, danish, water, etc.. I opened it in the car to a moldy danish, and water only. I showed this to the manager who offered me another bag. No thank you.nnNeedless to say, I was told one thing on the phone, and another when I got there. I planned to have more pool and hot tub time, and that wasn't the case. I planned to save some money and get a little better place to stay, since they included breakfast, but ended up spending more as we ate out. I did write a letter to the manager prior to posting this and was not told sorry, not offered anything in regards to small discount, I was just told, that the food was available between 6am -10am, and that they had plenty to offer, and that they had to wait on a part for the hot tub.nnI would not stay here again.

It was loud when we entered the check in and when the morning hit the people upstairs in room 222. The price is way too high like $103.00 a night they serve you breakfast due to covid. Noise started at 12:27am -1:12am.

Very clean with comfortable rooms and beds. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will stay here again.
