We really did our research and homework before deciding to hire William Gandy of Armor Home Exteriors to re-roof our home. We interviewed six roofing representatives. (One of them spent an entire five minutes with us and scratched his estimate on a scrap of paper!) We checked each company with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Armor Home Exteriors has an A+ rating and is also accredited. Being accredited by the BBB is a big deal. A company has to meet several stringent criteria to achieve this accreditation. As you peruse businesses on the BBB site you’ll find very few are accredited. Also, Armor Home Exteriors is a certified GAF (higher grade of roofing) contractor. In order to obtain this certification his company had to meet rigorous standards to include a company representative observing and approving them during the actual process of roofing a home. We actually contacted GAF to confirm his certification! Needless to say, this was all impressive and head and shoulders above the competition.nnIt was a pleasure to meet and work with William Gandy. He is very personable and instantly likeable. He took the time to show us all of the different materials that could go on our roof and the options we had. He is not limited to GAF installation. His company can roof your home using only what is required by code or can roof your home in superior products. We chose the complete GAF installation which comes with a great warranty. Two to three thousand dollars makes a great deal of difference in your quality of roof. Also Armor Home Exteriors offers a 5 year workmanship warranty.nnPlease be warned that roofers offering a 10 year warranty on workmanship are often companies that open a business for a short term, dissolve it, and open a new business in a different name. They keep doing this so your 10 year warranty is often useless. Look for someone who’s in the game long term. Armor Home Exteriors was established in Atlanta, Georgia originally so their years in business are longer than that represented on the BBB site.nnOnce we chose to hire Mr. Gandy he bent over backwards to obtain the materials and crew to re-roof our home quickly and right before a round of showers were scheduled to hit. He remained on our property supervising his crew for almost the entire day. The process was unbelievably efficient. They made sure our landscaping was protected. The site clean up was superb. All in one day!nnWe are incredibly pleased with our entire experience with this company and highly recommend them to anyone in need of an exemplary roofing company.
