Buffington homes, preston park

Although we love our house, at this point, I couldn't, with a clear conscience, recommend building with Buffington Homes. Most of the staff are wonderful. Our realtor, Faith, is incredible. Our construction supervisor, Rodney, is such a hard worker and very helpful. However, there were and continue to be issues with the entire process. Things were missed during the construction, most were fixed and others we made concessions for. As we were moving in, on our closing date, painters were still here fixing some issues, the final cleaning was taking place, and the house hadn't been though the final quality inspection yet, it was actually scheduled for the day we closed. Imagine trying to move in with all that going on, and continued for days after. The community mailbox wasn't installed and it took almost 3 months to get that corrected.nEveryone that could, did everything they could to make things right, but now that we've been here for almost 5 months, trying to get things fixed that should still be under warranty is beyond frustrating. We are finding that the information given to us during the sale, is not the information now being given to us by customer service. Many of our plants have died, which you would think would be covered by the 1 year warranty, but we are told they likely died due to the cold weather, although our neighbors that moved in just before the cold snap have live plants.... We just discovered our back door is busted in the bottom corner, which is why it's been difficult to close and lock this whole time, but we must wait for someone to come inspect it to make sure it will be covered. Although the majority of our finishings are very nice, the entire process has been extremely frustrating, and I would not build with them again. I should have listened to the negative reviews before moving forward. If you decide to go with Buffington anyway, good luck!
