Sleep Inn & Suites Dublin Near Claytor Lake State Park

My family and I stayed one night this weekend. We got a Suite hoping that there would be just a little extra room for the kids to play.(ages 1, 3 and 10). When I called to make the reservation, I asked specific questions about the room and pool area. I was assured there was a bathtub in the room, so the youngest children would be able to bathe after the pool. There was no bathtub, my 1 year old found the gummy worms (see picture) laying the in floor, he also picked up a chip and some nasty napkin that was found beside the bed. ( I didn't take a pic bc I grabbed it from him without thinking.) The microwave and fridge were nasty as well,(see pics). It didn't look like the room had been vacuumed or had clean blankets put on. The bathroom sink had hair on it and the toilet was gross feeling too We checked in around 4 and then we were told we were not allowed to swim til 6( which wouldn't have been a big deal, had I not talked to her prior to coming in about specifically swimming when we checked in). We also had an extended check out time, which was not relayed to the morning shift person, so we were called and told we needed to leave before we were supposed too or we had to pay for another day. 1 hour difference and they wanted me to pay for an entire day. Overall, I would not waste your money on a suite and I would check the floors and bathrooms before unwinding in your room/suite.

Friendly staff, Following Covid-19 standards, very personable and not to expensive. I would stay here again and I would also recommend to family & friends!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 stars

I highly recommend this Sleep Inn! My wife and I had car trouble on the night of Christmas Eve while we were driving to Northern Virginia and ended up checking in at 4 a.m. and the room was comfortable and clean. Our Christmas morning hotel breakfast was great! The staff members were extremely friendly and hospitable, going above and beyond to help us out and make our unexpected Christmas away from home special. One of the staff members helped us get our car fixed. After we checked out I realized I had lost my wedding ring while fixing the car and the staff all took the time to look for it including in the parking lot (below freezing!) and found it. Now we are on our way home from the holiday and planning to stay another night!

The staff was incredible. Dining area generous and their breakfast is back on! I will say for the price point I would not have expected 20+ year old worn out carpet that created a lil bit of smell in the halls. The couch in my sweet was very stained as well. You could tell a lot of construction traffic had used the room (no dig - we ALL are essential. Just take a bath before ya sit down with your after work beverage, huh?)nnThe front desk (Linda I think) gave us fabulous rec for dinner. She was ever so friendly and helpful. I sleep in a different hotel room roughly 20 nights a month. I would definitely return to this one. I'll just use towels to sit on
