Wonderful place to get away for a quiet weekend. Historic, beautiful, well kept and extremely clean! The view on the valley is great, fire pit, s'more making kits and homemade chocolate chip cookies are a nice bonus. Farm to table breakfast is delicious, we could choose to have it indoor or outside on the patio. The inn keeper Hugh is the nicest, most helpful, friendliest person that made us feel the most welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was nothing but excellent. Small town location is charming, lost of hiking trails to explore and caverns 5 min away. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful experience. We had the whole place to ourselves, the breakfast was amazing and on point. Out host really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. We're thinking a lit going there again later in the season just to relax.

This place is beautiful. The property is gorgeous with a great view! Gregory was there to welcome us and show us around. Later in the evening he built a fire in the fire pit on the patio. Very cozy! Breakfast was amazing in a lovely dining room. The bread pudding was delicious! Thanks Gregory! We would love to visit again.

The hospitality at Mayneview is soaring!! The innkeeper (Hugh) provided exceptional service. His attention to detail ensured a warm and welcoming stay. Our weekend was fabulous, flowing with fireside s’mores and warm cocoa. Breakfast was always much more than a meal. Definitely a must for those seeking an experience vs a stay!!

We’ve stayed at a lot of places and only a couple of bed and breakfasts, but Mayneview was by far the best bed and breakfast and one of the better lodgings we have ever stayed in. It completely exceeded our expectations. The festive decor on the wrap around porch and the details of the home restoration were beautiful! The service and hospitality was amazing. I much appreciated the small things that even fancy hotels don’t do anymore like chocolate on pillows and helpful/tailored advice on things to do around the area. The precautions for COVID were also excellent. Location is also a good starting point to explore nearby Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns and VA wine country. If you are thinking of staying anywhere in the mountains out here, Mayneview is unmatched. You will feel right at home and enjoy hotel like amenities! We wish we saw more of Tux the pup though!
