River Front Cabin

The cabin is great for a stay in the area, especially if you want to be in the woods and near nature - the sound of the Shenandoah river and a rushing creek can be heard from inside the cabin! It is very clean and has the essentials needed (kitchenware, etc.) for a trip. The large screened porch is awesome and the hot tub is fantastic. The cabin has a nice fireplace too that quickly heats up the rooms and makes it feel very cozy!nnOur trip had three people on it, two who did nearby hikes during the days and one who worked virtually from the cabin during the day. Within a 30 min drive, there are incredible hikes with great views. For others looking to work while traveling here, there is wifi at the cabin, so it was possible to work virtually from the cabin (and was nice to have the river as a backdrop while working)! Anything beyond email and generally connecting to the internet (video calling, etc.) is not as possible. This is at no fault of the hosts though, just a result of the location! So if you are traveling here, we really recommend fully enjoying all that the surrounding nature has to offer on the river, in the mountains, and more!nnThe hosts are extremely welcoming and responsive. Anyone who visits can tell they care a great deal about having others enjoy this space by the almost-full guest book on the coffee tables with many kind words with visitors from all over!

Clean, well maintained cabin, close to the river! Gas fireplace for cool mornings and pet friendly too! Would definitely recommend to others, we will be returning in the future.

Loved every second, and I stayed for four days.

My hubby and I had a wonderful stay at the cottage. The cabin is well equipt, not fancy, just a simple place to stay and enjoy the river. The place is quiet and also offers lots of bird watching. We saw three bald eagles, a pileated woodpecker, tons of blue birds, cardinals and blue jays as well.
