We spent 2 wonderfully peaceful and relaxing nights. The home is a beautifully restored step back in time with all the modern comforts you could ask for. I can't say enough about the breathtaking views from our balcony, the incredibly roomy and tastefully appointed room and the breakfast, ah the breakfast...just amazing, complete with homemade breads and jams made with grapes from the property. We will return. I need the recipe for the home baked English muffins.nThank you Spefan and Desiree.

A little off the beaten path, but well worth it. We had the pleasure of visiting recently. The home, rooms and grounds are even better than advertised on their website. The breakfast was superb and the hosts were friendly and easy going. I'm sure I'll be back.

On a whim my daughter and I decided to find a place to stay overnight after a long day visiting friends in Staunton. The owners could not have been more welcoming and accommodating for our last minute reservation. Our room was large, beautiful, immaculate, and so comfortable. It was very apparent that a great deal of time and money has been invested to make this property so special. We loved sitting on our balcony looking out over the vineyard and watching the stars come out late in the evening. Breakfast was amazing and the coffee service in the dining room was wonderful. Would have loved to spend the afternoon reading in the library or on the huge porch or take a dip in the pool but unfortunately we had to leave the next morning. Although Woodville is a bit of a hike from the interstate it is well worth the drive.

Stefan was a great host, the home was beautiful, and the view from the front porch is incredible. The location is close to Charlottesville and everything the area has to offer, while the Woodville itself is secluded. This old home has been thoroughly updated so that you can enjoy the look and feel of a historic property while enjoying all the amenities of modern life. It's too bad we could only stay one night, as the library was well-stocked and it would have been nice to just sit there and read. Maybe next time! One more thing - my wife and I had to leave early for an appointment in Charlottesville so Stefan made breakfast to-go bags for us. We have had hotel breakfast to-go bags during other trips this year and they were all extremely ho-hum. Stefan, on the other hand, packed for us breakfast sandwiches made from homemade English muffins, scrambled eggs, and sausage. After the breakfast sandwiches, we didn't have room for the rest of the to-go bags, which filled out the food pyramid - two types of fruit juices, a perfectly-ripe banana, and a breakfast bar. We had those for snacks on the road later. We highly recommend staying at the Woodville!

Stephan and Desiree were so gracious and accommodating from the very first phone call. The house itself was amazing. From the Library full of novels, history books, and old records, to the beautifully natural landscaped pool, it was so welcoming. Our hosts prepared awesome breads and breakfasts from local and on property fresh ingredients. Michele enjoyed wandering down and visiting with the ducks, chickens, and of course two pet pigs - Todd and Porter. We had such a wonderful time tucked away in view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Michele also fell in love with their dog Willow, who stays hidden most of the time unless you coax her out. Sitting down on the Adirondack chairs by the vineyard and sipping on some locally procured wine and watching the sun set over the mountains was a great way to cap off an evening after visiting the local wineries. We have stayed at many B&B's from Maryland, Kentucky to Florida, and this was by far the best. Thank you for a great vacation.
