Lahaina Ocean's Edge

Loved our stay at this place. The location is right by the Ocean and our room had beautiful view. The check-in process was pretty quick and the guy was very friendly. If you are looking for something affordable, clean and quiet this is the go to place. Make sure you pre-book it well in advance as it's hard to find reservations here.

Location, location, location. 1 miles from downtown which has lots of shops, restaurants, bars. .5 miles from a Safeway. 2 great sandy beaches within a few minutes drive. I was in a single person room which was the perfect size. Everything for cooking, utensils/pots/cups/plates etc. The towels were fluffy and the bed was comfy. They offer beach towels and beach gear. Every morning you can sit at the sea/rock wall and see the turtles, at night you can sit out and hear the Old Lahaina Luau in the distance. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is no TV, Phone or AC, but with cell phones you don’t need a phone or TV. I just stayed there and didn’t need an AC, just left the windows open and fans on. The only con was the water temperature was a little tricky at times, but it’s an older building, that’s to be expected. Lots of beautiful flowers, grass, birds and plenty of seats and tables. It was a wonderful trip and can’t wait to go back and stay here again!

Laura, was BEYOND rude. She never emailed me after multiple attempts to reach her and she said she emailed me back multiple times and I kept calling to ask for a late check in. The key box wouldn’t unlock our key to the room and she said no one else had a problem and she called another worker named Sandy to help and she couldn’t get it either. Sandy was really nice and helpful! The AC wasn’t working when we got there. To get hot water you usually turn the red for hot water and blue for cold water, but it was the opposite and Laura came over annoyed when she could’ve just told me on the phone and she said “is this not hot enough for you?!” And when I said thank you she rudely left. I wouldn’t recommend this place because the service was just awful. Thank god we only stayed a couple days because my mother and I definitely did not like her!nThe only pro was the location, it is close to front street. The parking lot has very narrow parking and is difficult to pull out and leave. You will most likely have to back in and out a couple times in order to leave without hitting another car. Overall would NOT recommend!!

I came to Hawaii with my partner to get married, and Lahaina Oceans Edge was our first and favourite hotel. It's literally sat on the oceans edge, and you can fall asleep listening to the sound of waves on a night. I loved sitting outside on a morning with my breakfast watching the whales breaching the surface of the sea the sea and the turtles swimming about. I can't wait to come back!

Great views, clean rooms, kitchen, friendly staff. 70's style, very reasonable rates in Lahaina.
