Best Western Newberry Station

Saw someone mentioned new updated hotel, which means the remodeled part is open, which means you treat your customers differently. Some people get to stay in the new updated rooms, others don’t. We were the unlucky ones. Like another one mentioned, we were also overwhelmed with the aroma of urine. Our room was #102, so it’s reasonable to assume that all the rooms on the first floor have that smell. On top of that, the heater didn’t work at all and there were bugs in the room. The lady at the reception did not care about anything at all. She took some notes and said that she’ll report to the manager, and then that’s it.nnIf you have to stay in that area, just do yourself a favor, simply find a motel to stay. Half price, better service.

The front desk personnel are the nicest I've ever encountered. It's a beautiful hotel. It's close to everything but to be fair it's a very small town. The rooms are big with very comfortable beds and a must for us, a bathtub. Cable television and Wi-Fi included. Great station selection too. They've got an indoor pool and jacuzzi, which are both lovely. And there's plenty of free parking. I will definitely stay here again.

I have stayed with this property several times before and referred multiple reservations for large events in the area. I recently had to cancel my stay as family flights out of Dallas into Redmond were delayed due to weather. I had the unfortunate experience of speaking with the hotel's General Manager, Phil Roberts. Extremely inflexible on waiving the cancellation fee, and was condescending throughout the entire conversation. He asked me why our flights were delayed, several personal questions including the first and last names of my family members, our address, documentation from the airline on the cancelled flight, and much more detail than normally requested by a hotel, all while being adversarial and seemingly enjoying my frustration. All of this and he still refused to waive a penalty for one night, while the hotel is at low capacity, and can only refer to company policy as an explanation, even for a weather related flight delay, in January. I travel for work and I'm no stranger to staying in hotels. I've never been treated this poorly by a hotel manager.

I am very pleased with my stay here at this location. Wonderful customer service, warm soft beds. I will definitely come back for another stay.

Nicely updated hotel. Room decor is simple and fashionable. Hotel Manager was great and answered my questions about BW Rewards and helped me redeem my gift cards!
