I booked this place on air bnb after hearing it was a historic building. When I asked for an early check in, I was told they couldn’t make that work because of their COVID cleaning practices. Their “cleaning practices” included leaving a dirty bathroom floor, dirty chairs and nightstand. A charming wood fire was part of the draw to this place. I couldn’t have a fire because they left one charred log in the bin and no kindling/newspaper to start it with. Don’t bother trying to have coffee on your patio in the morning as their coffee station has no actual coffee or spoons. Lastly, upon my arrival I struggled to open the lockbox to retrieve my room key (in the snow in the dark). I called guest services and they told me the on site manager would call me in the next 30 minutes to assist. No manager called at any point to help me get into my room. Eventually I figured it out and let myself in. Poor communication, service and cleanliness standards means I will be staying someplace else tonight.

We were traveling to Colorado and decided to check out Taos. We looked for a place to spend the night. Most of the places we looked were not safe looking. We happens on Touchstone Inn. Fantastic looking place. We thought it was probably out of our price range but it was actually quite reasonable. Been, the Manager, was very kind. She is also a fantastic artist. I purchased one of her painting. I love it. The inn itself was very clean and comfortable. The mountain view is breathtaking. We spent three relaxing days there. So glad we checked out Taos. Feel replenished.

Definitely off the beaten path. No real services in the area but it is next to a Lotaburger!

It's lovely, cute & cozy, quiet place. The bed was sooo comfy! And the jetted tub was nice. My only complaint is that their internet doesn't really work which is a bummer due to service being poor in the area, but we made it work.
