It was our first time in Ruidoso. As soon as we walked in the door the lady that worked the front office (never got her name) was so welcoming and nice. The cabin we rented was very clean and had everything we needed. Absolutely a great stay! We will differently be back again!
Roger Browning (03/27/2021)
I have always loved this place. My name is Roger Browning, and I am the author of the Novel, 'The Reckoning of Rance,' out on amazon right now. It is a book that I wrote about a dysfunctional family of inheritance with it's setting that of a modern day ranch. It happens to be a setting that draws in the life of Texans, but brings in the territory of Ruidoso New Mexico as well. I am a writer and that is why I am reviewing this mountain retreat as well. I love it here. Dan Dee Cabins is my favorite place to get away and I have found my way there for many years Just my wife and I at first, then kids and grandkids. Hopefully one day great grandkids as well. I love it there and we have managed to stay in every cabin that Dan Dee has kept and kept well. We love the old feel of it. The feeling we hope from it each and everytime we visit. It gives you the true feeling of the getaway, the way that it is meant to be. The stocked firewood and grills provided to each cabin, which by the way are all set with perfect spacing for the solitude wanted for your reason. The cabins are always so well maintained and clean and have all of the things a visitor would need. Forks, spoons, knives and can openers to the cabinets. Plates bowls and cups for the food prepared on the hot stove with the cookware, that you will not have the need to bring. I am writing you this to let you know that there may be places newer, but for the feeling you, that I believe you might be looking for, you would do yourself better to stay right there. It is beautiful, quiet and the elk, the deer and the bear might grace your stay while there. I have written other novels and have even a couple during my stays at the cabin known as Lone Star. I have typed out twenty or so pages of my latest during my last stay in the cabin known as Little Chino. One to follow my first book of 'Rance.' A sequel that has now seen its finish and is just waiting for it's publication date. So friends, if you want to get away to a place so welcoming, relaxing and that is just right in its setting relationship from it's town. Give these cabins your first choice to feel it. Again my name is Roger Browning, the author of the novel, 'The Reckoning of Rance.'

Cute n cozy cabins with a private location amidst the busy Upper Canyon. Customer service and maintenance are A+!
