The Summit Inn

I loved the quaintness of this little gem. It wasn't the nicest of places but it sure did feel homey and welcoming after a long day of mountain hiking and driving. The owner is super nice and takes great care for your comfort. I'd love to stay here again.

I would give 4stars, the exterior and interior looks a little bit outdated.But man, the room is spotless clean it is really a good price. Owners are just helpful as they can be. This is just across the shopping areas, gasoline station and few miles from the ski resort. I am very picky about where I stay and it was a last minute deal for a short stay and the price is just right. Then you can buy your extra dollars for goodies such as peach and cream at the bakery, pie, fried rice, thrift shop, guava hard cider at the winery and so much more!! I was really comfortable here, I didnt expect it.ThanksnSummit Inn, wish y'all the best!

We rented 2 rooms. Both were horrible. No towels or toilet paper in one room, the other still had food from the previous occupants in the fridge.nnWe had reserved for 5 nights. We couldn't do it. The following morning, we checked out and they forced us to pay for 2 nights even though we showed them how bad the rooms were turned into us.nnI'm planning on calling the health department and hotel licensing board. An audit needs to be done.

Pleasantly surprised by this in. Definitely dated decor, but beautifully clean and comfortable for the price

We had a lovely stay at the Summit Inn. Check-in was a breeze, and the owner made us feel very welcome on the property. The cabins were clean with comfortable furniture and a working fireplace. Wood and kindling was provided in the room. The inn is just two blocks from downtown Cloudcroft, where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. A few blocks up the road is a park and playground for kids, and there are several hiking trails also within walking distance. They charged us a very modest pet fee ($10 for the first night and $5/night after that), which was very fair for the area. I would definitely stay here again!
