In the past, my experiences with staying at Hyatt has been pleasant, in fact they were really wonderful.nnHowever, two weeks ago I booked a room for my family and I to stay at Hyatt Place Marlborough for two weeks, and the experience was truly horrible.nnOn the first morning after we spent the first night there, we went downstairs for the breakfast that was available for every customer. Now, I brought my children along with my wife on this business trip because they needed some fresh air and a different scenery, while they safely followed the social distancing guidelines of course.nnThus, when of my child went downstairs with my wife to get breakfast, they were absolutely excited to begin their first day.nnThen as they picked out the breakfast and placed them in a paper bag, a manager came over and took a cleaning spray to clean the counter space right next to my daughter, where there were no dirty spots whatsoever, and told her “You took too much” in a very aggressive attitude. Obviously, she pretended to clean the counter in order to “warn” my daughter from getting too much food, when in reality, there are five people in my family including myself, and that morning only my wife and my youngest daughter went, they planned to get breakfast for all of us who were upstairs.nnHowever, the manager didn’t understand the situation first and frightened my daughter instead. My daughter came upstairs while sobbing because she thought she took too much food just like the manager mentioned.nnAfterwards, my wife had a conversation with the manager to tell her that her handling of the situation was very unprofessional, she didn’t even access the situation first before making an opinion about others. Plus, her comment hurt my kid and it was unacceptable that she purposely delivered that comment towards my kid when she could have talked to my wife instead. And they didn’t do anything wrong in the first place, they didn’t take too much food, they only too 4 milk, 1 coffee, 3 bags of oats, 2 boxes of cereal, and 5 yogurt. Keep in mind this amount of food was for 5 people, of which 3 people were kids.nnThen after my wife had a conversation with the manager, she didn’t apologize until my wife properly explained her mistake to her and mirrored her bad attitude for a good 30 seconds to let her understand how rude it felt.nShe didn’t admit her mistake until my wife mimicked her and she realized how uncomfortable she made my kid felt. Then she cried a bit and used excuse like “I get anxiety attack from time to time” which was not related to the issue they were discussing, nor was it a relevant reason to explain her action. Finally, she apologized that she was sorry, and that was the end of the first incident.nnOn the second morning, my wife and daughter went downstairs to get breakfast for the three of us upstairs again, but then as they picked out their breakfast, my wife noticed a different empty at the counter weirdly looking at them from time to time. At first, she thought the employ was just looking around, but then she realized the empty was monitoring how much food they placed in their bag.nnOf course my wife was uncomfortable after the experience at the first day of the hotel, and she thought the service there would improve and take her opinion into consideration, but after the incident on the second morning my wife and I were beginning to be angry.nnDid the employ constantly looked their direction to check if they put too much in their bag? Or was it because we are Asians?nOn the same day (second day), my family and I went out to breath some fresh air and to shop some food at the grocery store for lunch. During our leave, we saw another family with kids taking much more food that we did, but the employ didn’t monitor how much food they took and had nicer attitude towards that particular lighter-skinned family? Why??nnOver the next five days the employ would still monitor the amount of food we take during breakfast time, and even constantly checking us when we were microwaving our food.

I stayed here for 4 months (because of my job) during the beginning of the COVID outbreak. The staff here was absolutely OUTSTANDING!!! They were attentive, kind and went out of their way to make sure I was okay. Although there was barely 10% occupancy and the staff was down to only 7 people - they maintained their professionalism! I truly miss them! Thank you all so much!

This hotel is pretty much a party spot for the locals! The people in the room next to us had music bumping so loud until very late. Called the front desk and they did call to have them turn it down but it went right back up moments later. Fighting in the hallways girls crying by our door. I rented this room to get some R&R head and I didn't sleep one wink. Everybody had all their doordash and trash bags in the hallways it was just disgusting. I will never stay there again
