Residence Inn by Marriott Kingston

Decent hotel. We got the two bedroom suite for three kids and two adults. The added space made it much more comfortable. Staff is nice but the hotel is a little dated. Because of COVID, we didn't have access to the gym or pool. Breakfast was grab and go from the front desk consisting of a piece of fruit, muffin, granola bar and a bottle of water. Good price for what you get overall.

Staff was well mannered and very willing to help with any needs. I didn't stay long enough to check out the other facilities such as the pool but lobby and room was very clean. All staff I encountered wore their masks properly as well!

This was my second stay. First time was 2 years ago for work and it was a GREAT experience. Employees went above and beyond. This time it was meh. Came for a quick weekend getaway to hike the Catskills and needed to use my comped night with Marriott. For elite members you can choose a non-alcoholic pantry item or 500 bonus points at check in.nn- Not all employees adhere to the mask rule. A woman at the front desk never once wore her mask in the 3 times I saw her. Instead had it on like a chin diaper. I went to the front desk at 6:30AM to ask about ear plugs. I'm a light sleeper and the air vents are pretty loud when they turn on and off, was told i could purchase a pair for $1.99 in the market pantry, great. At the time I saw she wasn't wearing her mask. When I went down again at 9:30AM to grab a to-go bag (more info below) I saw the same woman not wearing her mask, and then again when I checked out.nn- No breakfast, this is expected due to covid. I called ahead to see what they did offer for titanium members, woman on the phone said they offered everyone a to-go bag with a bagel or pastry, apple, granola bar and water. Sounded fine but what you actually get is two granola bars, an apple and bottle of water. I asked for an extra bottle of water and was told they ran out.nnBottom-line: I'm a big Marriott fan but I wouldn't stay here again. It's lost a lot of it's warmth, people don't seem to care as much as they used to. Don't expect anything to be complimentary as you would expect at other Residence Inns or Marriotts - staff will point you to the market pantry with convenient marked up items. They're also nice enough to leave a bottle of Evian on your bedside for $5.25 ud83dude02

I'll compare this Hotel to a super 8. No hot water, toilet didn't flush, when I went to use the dishes they were all dirty, animal hair everywhere. And I apologize i didn't mean to insult super 8 Hotel they at least have hot water, but for the price I paid i excepted more from a Marriott hote.

This place is very very disgusting and the hospitality is nasty black females and rude and the people who clean this place doesn't clean the place right.. I was given cleaning rags to bath with and my stay here was very uncomfortable. This place is a waste of money. I'm so disappointed every thing at the place is a mess even the tv. The bathroom is dirty. The most this is awful hospitality all thier guess are disappointed.
