Hotel Kinsley

I love the design and art direction in this hotel - lots of style. The restaurant was fabulous. Delicious food and well curated wine list and cocktails, so 4 stars there. However, there is no elevator, which isn't that big of an issue since its only 3 flights, but with a bunch of bags and a mask on, this isn't ideal. Add to that we were in our room talking at normal levels last night as we got ready for bed at 10 pm and the walls are so thin we got a call from the front desk manager with a noise complaint! Really don't think I should have to whisper in a hotel room I'm paying a good rate for at 10 pm at night. My BIGGEST complaint is that when I woke up this morning I called downstairs to see about where we could get coffee and water but no one answered - they don't get in till 9 am. Hey, that's fine, but then put a coffee maker and bottled water in the room OR AT LEAST put a note about where to get coffee. Coffee and water are essential appointments Kinsley, highly recommend you figure this out.

Food was very good, but when I made the reservation, I was specific about my daughter’s birthday; we finished dinner, and they brought the bill and forgot the birthday. Awful detail. I will not be back.

our stay at hotel kinsley was absolutely AMAZING!! the location is perfect right in the center of town, they have parking lots for guests, wonderful staff, the rooms are extremely spacious and was equipped with everything we could have needed.nnthere is a wonderful restaurant located inside the hotel which is super convenient and has a great menu.nnhighly recommend hotel kinsley to anyone looking for a great stay in kingston!! we will definitely be back!!!

The place is beautiful and the food was delish. My husband took me for my 50th birthday. The menu was short but with the pandemic and regulation it's challenging. We ordered few appetizers, fish tacos and sauteed calamari. We ended up ordering more tacos, they were delicious!!! We had a great table, a banquet by their fire feature. The service was great. They remember my birthday celebration. We felt very comfortable. It was a great 50th birthday celebration!

Dear Owners,nWe came to Kingston for a one night stay just to come to your hotel. I’m sorry to say that we leave very disappointed. We came here expecting an incredible hotel and experience only to find that everything in the hotel was closed. There was no food or drinks whatsoever. We expected to use the common areas and sit by the fireplace with music but none of that was available for the guests.nI understand that Monday’s and Sunday’s are slow days in the town of Kingston and that it may be to expensive to keep the restaurant open but then you should also close the hotel, or at the very least alert your guests that everything will be closed. We were lucky to find a place open for dinner on Sunday and had to leave Monday morning to find breakfast in another town.nnWe ended up paying what we would have payed for a 5 star hotel anywhere in the world but only got a room and a very poor experience. It felt abusive and inconsiderate.nnHope you change this and if you do we will be happy to come back. The place is stunning, but the overall experience is what matters in the end.
