Saugerties Lighthouse

The Saugerties lighthouse features a beautiful boardwalk (newly renovated) and incredible views of the Hudson. The trail is mostly flat and accessible for all ages. Be sure to wear rain boots if it has rained or snowed recently, as parts of the trail can become muddy or flooded. Friendly dogs are allowed on leash for the boardwalk. My dog loves to play in the water there.

Pleasant ten-minute walk out to the lighthouse and a stunning view of the Hudson choked with mid-February floes of ice. Would love to be able to spend a night at the B&B within the keeper‘s quarters someday, but for now it’s not accepting new reservations due to the pandemic.

Amazing spot to experience Hudson River history. We come back when ever we in the area.
