Watkins Glen Villager Motel

This hotel was all right- we only stayed here one night and were so grateful for only staying for a short period of time. The location was excellent, you could walk to atleast 15 different restaurants and buffets and the water was a block away. You have easy access to the water front and Marina. However, as nice as this all sounds- when we arrived at the motel the first thing we noticed was the sound. It was extremely loud as it was right next to a main road.nThe room were alright but needed MAJOR updating. The rooms have a mini fridge and microwave as well as two Queen beds and a chair/table set. The pool is very nice and big! I know we certainly enjoyed it! :) The bathrooms need more towels and more the one tiny bottle of Shampoo and Conditioner combined. When we asked for more she said, “ I’m sorry but we’ve run out” so we had to run to the fancy hotel we’d stayed at the night before. When we finally got Shampoo and Conditioner, we noticed how bad the shower was- dirty and full of hair. Obviously we were disgusted and cleaned it. But we later found out that the shower floods. The ENTIRE bathroom floor was a puddle of water. Not only did all the towels get wet but so did our clothes. Lastly, later that evening we discovered that the TV didn’t work and had to have the janitor come and fix it. In all, I am more than slightly disappointed and would not recommend this place. Maybe as a last resort but I would NEVER come here again. Instead- right down the street they have a hotel called the Harbor Hotel. This place is amazing. But the Village Motel is just not it.

The staff was very nice. Room was nice for the price. Very close to attractions.
