Hillcrest Hotel Near JFK Air Train

PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! We checked in, got to our room and left. This is a run down joke of a hotel. The lobby smells of smoke, the make you pay a $50 deposit when you check-in and they force you to pay in CASH! The room is terrible and also smells like smoke. If you are reading this, turn around and look somewhere else. This is a hole.

Over hyped hotel. This hotel is supposed to be new but was disappointing at best. There were no customary plastic cups in the room. There was leftover food in the fridge. So they didn't do a thorough enough job cleaning the room. The ice bucket was moldy inside. To which the front desk manager was hesitant to throw it out. Closet had no hooks or hanger to put your clothes up. The tv I has 2 good channels and there is only one night stand table so you and your lover have to rock, paper, scissors who gets to sleep on the good side of the bednAll in all this was very basic at best. I would recommend for a quick romp. One of those quickies that you literally just get in and outnI wouldn't recommend for an overnight or long-term stay.

I really enjoyed my summer holidays here. Staff was nice and food was delicious. I wish to visit here again.

The location was great.everything is very close by(you could find anything one block away). I personally had no problem with the rooms. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

Backstory; we missed our flights due to unavoidable circumstances we had to look for a hotel that is close to the airport below 100USD (including taxes). We saw this and it stated 77USD.nnImmediately you arrive at the reception you get hit by the scent of weed. It’s all over the building. ALL FLOORS.nnThe receipt was kind and did his work well. (No complaints whatsoever).nnThe rooms have this strong cigarette smoke. We had to turn on the AC for over hours to clean the air both the room and bathroom AC. When we left the next morning we left the AC on the whole day. That stench was crazy.nnFinally I don’t know what kind of counts come here but our room had blood stains on the curtains. There was commotion every once a few hours at the corridors. Some shouting, cursing, etc.nnThey have NO ROOM SERVICE. At the reception they told us if you need towels, sheets or soap come ask but we won’t bring them.nnI would never recommend this place to my friends.nnWhy a two star and not a one star. The Indian guy at the reception.
