Homewood Suites by Hilton Rochester - Victor

Very nice hotel, situated at a quiet dead end road, but very close to shopping, dining and Pinnacle Athletic Complex. Full kitchen, with full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, stove, and microwave which was nice. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the pool was not open, which was annoying especially when the Hampton (part of the Hilton group that was right around the corner) pool was open. The exercise room was ridiculously hot, seemed to be no ventilation (I was the only one in there) and the room had a bad smell. But nice amount of quality equipment. We were there for baseball tournament and had to leave each morning at 7 am so couldn't tell you what breakfast was like as breakfast was from 7-9. each day. Overall, friendly staff, clean rooms, and a nice hotel.

We stayed at this hotel for about 3 weeks for work. Upon calling to make reservations, the woman who answered the phone was very honest and told me that the hotel itself was in need of renovations, but funding was pulled on account of Covid. She said the hall carpet was rippled (it was) & there were some minor stains and dents in the carpet and furniture in the rooms itself. She said the pool wasn’t open and fitness center was available upon request. I told her all we cared about was a clean room, and she assured me that it would be very clean. We decided to go ahead and continue with our reservation, and I’m so glad we did! The hotel is located in a quiet area, so you don’t hear much traffic. The premises was clean upon arrival. Our hotel room faced the courtyard and was very clean. Housekeeping was available upon request. The staff are all very friendly. The general manager was always present at the hotel, and made us feel right at home! If my husband is ever in this area for work again, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Housekeeping did a good job cleaning the room, but the maintenance is poor. The chair upholstery was disgusting, the nightstand was broken, the TV has audio but no picture and small, the remote control is broken and tape with electrical tape, and finally the heating unit doesn't work in the bedroom, with a closer look, it was disgustingly dirty and full of dust that we get to breathe if it was working (got lucky on that one). The staff was nice and made it a two stars instead of one.

The stay was nice except for the pet fee of 70 dollars and the 5 dollar tax with that. That price is a bit steep. The rooms were nice we did enjoy our stay.

This property is clean and well managed. I will be staying there again in a few weeks.
