Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Geneva Lakefront Resort

Nice location and nice rooms, but.... where do I start? Checked in for a night away, the first room had no toilet paper. None. I’ve never seen that in a hotel before. And then the bed looks like it was straightened, but that the sheets were not changed. And that was too much, so we asked for another room. The front desk was very helpful and the second room was just fine. However, this morning I went to make coffee and noticed that the disposable cups were from Hampton Inn (this is a Ramada). And the coffee “pods” provided were for a different machine and didn’t fit the coffee maker in the room. All of this points to poor management, which can be fixed with better management. Geneva is a lovely town with great restaurants and a beautiful setting. Geneva needs this hotel to be better.

Very nice place to stay. Room was great. Dont have to worry about a cold shower. Only reason why a 4 star rating is because we had to wait so long for someone to check us in. Even called and nobody answered.

Location is wonderful -- hotel is not.nIt is right on the water, near a beautiful boardwalk and walking distance to so much! However, the hotel is a dump. Our room was very disappointing, dirty and not well taken care of.nI had called ahead to ask about the restaurant and bar -- was told they were open and they even offered us a discount at the bar / restaurant since we were traveling into town for a mini-honeymoon given the pandemic. However, were extremely disappointed (and quite frankly frustrated) to learn we were lied to and everyone was closed when we arrive. Staff did not even wish a happy honeymoon, or offer to do anything additional to help us -- even after I showed them email responses showing we were told the restaurant was open and we were going to be given a glass of wine to celebrate! Bummer for sure.

Stay was nice, but hotel is currently being renovated.
