Catskill Mountain Lodge

Our premium, non-smoking room on the 2nd floor of the main Lodge was super clean, roomy and comfortable. The double sink bathroom was relatively new and spotless, with thick towels and a few tubes of amenities. The carpet was really clean (not mysteriously oily) - clean enough that I could do pre-ski floor stretches with confidence. The padded benches at the bottom of the beds were a nice touch, as was the round dining table with 3 chairs. Although the veranda deck outside is shared with other 2nd fl guests (potential privacy issues when curtains are not drawn), the sliding glass door gave plenty of light and roominess. The TV didn't work but the jittery WiFi delivered the data we needed. For dinner, we ordered a pizza and two salads for pickup.nThe room phone didn't work, not did my T-Mobile reception, so I used the courtesy phone in the lobby to communicate with Darren and Betsy. It was easy for me but could be aggravating for others. To ensure peak pizza temp, I went to the pub and waited 5min for the pickup. Everyone was happy with the food quality ud83dude0b

Eventually we relaxed but had a very rough start. The house wasn't ready even though they knew we were coming over a week ago. They had to put us in a room for the night. Next morning it was being cleaned. Once we settled in it was great. Though i wound advice you bring your own kitchen. Basics in kitchen were missing, became hard to cook meals.

Stayed here at the little homes you can rent near the pool. Lovely spot with informative hosts that know the area and it's attractions. Full kitchen in the homes are nice but have basic cookware. The gem is that behind the fireplace area near the drop downstream in the creek bed is a beautiful swimming hole. There's a laundry line to dry out clothes. They do have paid washing machines. Game room was closed along with the gym, but there's still plenty to do. They have a small playground for kids and a large field.

The staff here treated us like during and AFTER my stay. I left my toothbrush in the room and they shipped it to me right away!!! The owners were very welcoming and always were around to chat. The area in general was really quant and cute.. there was a pool, bonfire area, and playground for the kiddos. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains.

Charming enough place, well worth the price for a cozy hotel in the Catskills. perfect location, too!
