The Ashland

We stayed at The Ashland in Aug 2018 and had a wonderful visit. The house is charming, our room was quaint with a rocking chair and quilt on our bed. The nostalgic feel and friendliness of everyone was a welcome blast from the past and just the relaxing getaway we were looking for. We were in a room with a shared bathroom and no air, but even with the hot temps of Aug there was nice breeze and ceiling fan that kept the room comfortable and the nights were cool. (This is from a tried and true air conditioner person!) We never had to wait for bathroom and it was very clean. The kitchen has plenty of fridge space with 3 provided plus a microwave, a toaster oven, coffee pot and other small appliances, we chose to eat out for this trip (it was all about relaxing) but the kitchen looked great and was available had we needed it. The owner is available during your visit and a wonderful lady (her husband is nice too:) We will stay here again, it embodied the Chautauqua charm and get away from work and busy schedules we were looking for.
