Disappointed with the service. Took my bike for a basic tune up. When I picked it up today, I noticed that the chain was not replaced like the invoice said. A teenager who was working there, apologized and said that the part (in this case, the chain) came in, and someone forgot to replace it. He replaced it then and there.nWas expecting the cables and all moving parts to be lubricated, but clearly that has not been done. Bike looks like it has been cleaned/washed haphazardly, and that’s pretty much it. I still have the noise at certain gears that I mentioned when I dropped off.nNow I know that it’s a local shop and all, but basically it looks like I paid $100 plus taxes for a hasty wash and chain replacement. I am going to drop off my other bike at Sourland cycles. From what I understand, there is at least one of the owners there at all times. I think the problem here is that it’s basically run by a bunch of teens, with the attention span of well, teens.

I have to say that I am genuinely disappointed by the way I was treated the other day. My wife and I drove to the store because it listed on the website as being open. After arriving we find a sign on the door that they are closed for inventory but there was a number on the door and people inside so I decided to call up and spoke to a lady who said that they we closed but she could help if I had a question so I asked about some bikes for my wife. She wasn't sure but told me that the manager (Casper) was with a customer. After inquiring about how the manager was with a customer if they were closed she gave him the phone. Casper took the phone and asked what I needed; I told him I had just simply inquired how he was with a customer if they were closed and he rudely told me that he had invited certain customers to come in. Out of curiosity I posed why he would have certain customers and not others, but he again rudely me off and just told me that he was only having certain customers come in and my wife and I can come back another day. In my opinion it's shameful and not how people should be treated; I was not rude, I did not raise my voice or be combative over the point; all I did was ask a question because I was not clear over the situation. I have been to the store numerous times and have made few purchases and I would have never expected to be treated that way. They have lost my business for good now and I will be sure to share my experience with all of my other cycling friends. It's just a shame that something that could have been chalked up as a simple misunderstanding has now turned into a loss of business and a loss of trust in the establishment. This is not how a manager should act and I welcome a discussion with the owners of the business.

helpful shop with excellent customer service. they unloaded my bike, fixed my flat tire, and loaded the bike back for me all within a few minutes. very friendly, great prices, no pressure!

Exceptional sales and service. I've used Hart's since I was a young adult in the moutain bike scene and recently used them again for new bikes for my wife and I. Despite being during the midst of the Covid pandemic and having limited stock, Ross was attentive and worked with me on all aspects of the transaction. He was more than fair on the trade in value of a bike I bought from him previously and was engaged in making sure I had the best experience possible. He runs his business the way I'd imagine I'd run my own. If you're looking for the best possible experience buying or servicing your bike, Hart's Cyclery is your only choice. Will continue to service and upgrade my bikes with Ross.
