Mike and Vlad are both world class! Mike was very helpful with teaching and helping make a good decision on new backpacking footwear. He made sure my needs were meet and provided me with a world-class experience. Vlad was also very helpful with helping us decide on sleeping bags. REI is the place to go for expert advice. I plan on shopping here for my recreation needs whenever I can.

Solid quality stuff. Usually try to get the store REI brand. It’s on my ride to work and they have pulled me out of a couple flat tire jams. The workshops they occasionally have are excellent.

This is a good place to to get some outdoor stuff. They have a huge selection for clothes and equipment. The membership is $20 lifetime with 10 percent dividend monthly for the stuff you bought full price. I wouldn't stay this place is cheap but if you're not very sensitive to the price this is definitely the place to go. They have a rock climbing facility in store.

Not really impressed. Had to get on a waiting list just to try on shoes. I knew what I wanted and size. I was 19 on the waiting list and it took over an hour. Either go all in with the Covid protections or just drop it altogether. None of the benches were sanitized...nor the shoes that were handed to me to try on. Social distancing was observed and encouraged only in the shoe try on coral. Back to back people everywhere else in the store.

I went to this REI yesterday. I've been a loyal member for 10 years, and I'm no stranger to the company's high prices. Outdoor gear is expensive. It's been a couple of years since I browsed an REI, and I was taken aback at how much they were charging for clothing articles. Except for some $90 yoga pants (87% polyester, 13% spandex), everything was over $100. Some things upwards $200. And these were just shirts and pants. There was a hat for $190. A HAT. Multiple hats, in fact. And let me tell you, manufacturers like polyester. It's cheap. It's way cheaper to manufacture than cotton, so all of these polyester fabrics are just money makers. Looks like REI prefers to cater to rich people.
