Bittersweet Bed & Breakfast

We stayed for 3 nights and had a very pleasant visit. I liked that it's an easy walk into town . Our room was clean and bright, the blueberry muffins were to die for!

We love this place. Ray and Victor are gracious hosts. We have stayed her 5 or 6 times and sure there will be many more.

Can’t say enough good things about this place!! Great owners, fantastic location and a very comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious! Everything was perfect. Can’t wait to come back!!

I absolutely loved this place, it's so cute. They were so accommodating, friendly and the rooms were very clean and relaxing! I can't wait to go back. the breakfast was delightful as well. Such a great couple!

We went to York to attend 99+ year old uncle’s memorial service. 23 cousins from CT and us from Seattle. When our flight and our son from Brussels, BE travel were disrupted by weather related flights and train delays, I called Victor, a co owner by phone. He was curt and complained that I informed him ,requested late check in,.” When you booked, you should know check in must be by 8 pm! Now you tell me 4 days before check in that you would be late? Absolutely not!!” “ if you want to cancel , then cancel Friday!” So I found two rooms in nearby for 3 of us. Very well treated there. Then after our memorial dinner at York Harbor Inn, our cousin’s daughter was waiting to say good bye to her mom before driving back to Boston. She sat in a lawn chair when Victor flew into our room with rage and panic asking if we knew who she wasわI said it’s our niece. Victor flew off the handle and complained it was bnb policy only guests could be on the property! She wS not a bum from the street, in fact we had occupied 3 rooms, together paid for 7 nights!nWe were outraged by his vindictiveness!!nLater Victor said if we post bad reviews his 4 star ratings would be gone! He tried to be nice it was all superficial! We genuinely liked his partner, Ray who seem to clean and maintain property well. Location and clean rooms were fine. For the price breakfast was adequate, nothing special. I ran bnb and I was rated 5/5. All was fine but to have that horrible attitude was very shocking and stressful. We will not return. Victor has to learn what customer service is and be flexible.You are in business of making ALL customers feel welcomed.
