The Birchwood was amazing! I enjoyed everything about it from the small, quaint room to the fresh scones, fruit and organic coffee to the unique surroundings. The garden behind the hotel was lovely, as was the barn. Jenny, the owner, was great about making recommendations. There were even recycling bins in the rooms. Care was given to each detail. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!
Highly, highly recommend. Private-- but you won't be lonely. Great host who makes coffee, scones, and fruit salad each morning. Rooms are crisp and clean and simple and still cozy-- and you have a seat on etc front porch. You have a view across the street to Penobscot bay from your room and section on the large front porch. Very convenient to Camden and Camden Hills State Park.
I have been staying at the Birchwood Lodge for 4 years while I attend the Camden Film Festival, and it's one of my favorite parts of the weekend. The rooms are immaculate, the bedding all cotton and the beds are so comfortable. It's quiet, the coffee and homemade scones are delicious. Not much else to say!
We enjoyed a pleasant stay at Birchwood Lodge & Farmette. Beautiful familiar lodge, a very quiet position, a clean and comfortable room with ocean view.nJenny friendly welcomed us and gave us useful information and a good fresh breakfast in the morning.
Deliciously clean, pretty, comfortable room. Super-nice people. Good location. Interesting reading material. Great coffee. What more do you want?
