This is an old style Inn. It was advertised as smoke-free and it most definitely was not. Everything smelled of smoke. All of the clothes in our bags smelled like smoke. And that was after one night. I was almost like going into a bar in the 80s. Otherwise, the room was fine. The only mold we found was in the shower. It's nothing fancy but for the price, it's fine. If you don't mind the smoke.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Chapman Inn for a night before we headed out for a section hike on the Appalachian Trail! Sandy, the owner, made sure we were comfortable before our back breaking adventure. Though breakfast wasn’t available due to COVID, Sandy’s wonderful hospitality and bright attitude made the stay well worth it. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

My husband and I just stayed two nights at The Chapman Inn for our 10 year anniversary and we could not have had a better experience! The Inn itself is absolutely stunning and cozy. Very clean and quaint rooms that have stayed original to the style. The owner Sandra was lovely and very welcoming, we greatly enjoyed speaking with her and listening to her stories about the Inn. Her breakfasts were delicious and she has great options, a little something for everyone! Location could not have been better either!! We enjoyed an evening walk through town. We decided this will be our spot every year for our anniversary from here on out! We HIGHLY recommend The Chapman Inn!

My boyfriend and I had booked an Airbnb for the night in Bethel for $280, and we showed up to a dirty condo (unmade bed, dirty towels, trash). We quickly cancelled the reservation and looked up inns in the area. Chapman came up so we walked in and spoke to Sandy, the sweet owner who offered us a nice room for $130, plus a tasty breakfast in the morning. The room was clean and quaint, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend The Chapman Inn! Sandy is a gem. This is a humble reminder that AirBnb isn’t always superior, and local outfits are incredible!
