We stayed at the Russell House while visiting the lights at the botanical gardens, it was immaculately cleaned and had great no contact options for check in. The room was awesome and had freshly baked cookies!nnBreakfast was good, the only downside was that you weren’t able to choose your meal.nnWe will definitely stay here again!

My husband and I stay here every Christmas season and adore it! From the impeccable rooms to the warm hospitality of the innkeepers, this is a gem in the heart of mid coast Maine. We can’t wait to visit again!
Russell House was amazing! Very clean, friendly people, and when we had a mishap with a double booking, they were very understanding and helped us get our money back from Airbnb. When were uncomfortable having breakfast in the dining room due to COVID, they were accommodating and helped us bring the delicious food to our room. I highly recommend!
I booked this place mainly because I read that they provided a full breakfast that is suppose to be good. They describe having bottomless cookies as well. I messaged them to figure out the breakfast as I had a fishing trip that morning. No one replied. I was really looking forward to their full breakfast. Unfortunately they have an extremely sad food bag that had a small orange an orange juice and a cold pastry. There were no cookies either. It was extreme melt misleading on the Airbnb description. I understand that the pandemic requires changes but the least they could do is to inform of this changes on the Airbnb account as the pandemic has been going on for more than 6 months now. It is definitely overpriced for a bed.nnWouldn’t call it a bed and breakfast since a breakfast wasn’t provided in my opinion. They could have at least packed a hot sandwich or something. Or informed us of this so that we could have made a decision based on facts not misinformation.
