The Innkeeper (Gil) runs a fine ship, even with the challenges associated with Covid-19. The Moorings offers some truly remarkable views of the park from the comfort of your private room. The common spaces are eclectic and have nice views as well. We enjoyed sitting by the outdoor firepit and stargazing. We found the location to be a great alternative to Bar Harbor, 20ish minutes from Acadia allowed for quick access to the park and endless outdoor adventures.

The Moorings is an utter delight. The view of the bay from the property is so perfect and picturesque that it looks like a painting. The location is perfect - quiet and removed from the busier parts of the island without being too remote. The lawn is dotted with chairs where you can sit and enjoy the wonderful view, and there are also grills and fireplaces available for cooking and relaxing. This is a one-of-a-kind historical Inn furnished with delightfully quirky antiques. It was also, without a doubt, the cleanest place I've ever stayed. We also loved that the property was dog friendly. Gill, the property manager, is an incredible host. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a safe, socially distant, and picturesque get away.

Beautiful spot at the water. Spacious room with a view. Exceeded our expectations!

Stayed early July. Beautiful location and grounds. Landscaping is lovely. We stayed in the Island Queen- extension from main hotel overlooking the water. The view was amazing. Enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor tables/umbrellas. The hotel itself is very old/interesting- antiques etc but very, very clean. Kudos to housekeeping. Reminds you of grandmas house. Guys at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. We did not stay for breakfast. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed here for our trip in Maine and we couldn’t be happier. We got an ocean view room, it’s October so it’s chilly but the view is great, place is quiet, people are nice.. Would stay again.
