My wife and I had a great experience at The Inn at Bay Ledge. We stayed in the summer cottage and were extremely pleased. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, even with the windows open all night. Views from our deck were awesome, especially during the early morning. Jeannie and Jack were terrific hosts (friendly, personable, and great sources of information). Jeannie’s breakfasts were terrific. We told her in advance of my wife’s severe gluten allergy and she was able to make gluten free version of everything that was served. My wife is very sensitive to the most minor cross contamination and never had a reaction. We plan on staying here again when we return to Bar Harbor.

By far the best B&B I’ve ever visited. Definitely would return and next time I’m just gonna stay put. The grounds are lovely and the view is amazing. Room was perfect and extremely comfortable. The hosts are friendly and just lovely people.

Looking for your slice of paradise near town but far enough to be in complete peace? Definitely stay here. The staff is incredibly friendly, the grounds are beautiful, and they have copious chairs to enjoy the silence and sunshine.nnPs. I’m a travel professional and I don’t review the properties I stay in unless they are special and unique. The hospitality of this family run inn and it’s stunning location are second to none. From the moment you arrive you are treated as one of the family and the morning breakfasts are something to look forward to. It’s just close enough to Bar Harbor that it’s a quick, easy drive into town, but it’s just far enough from town center to avoid the summer hustle and bustle of tourists. For an authentic coastal Maine experience and a bit of Downeast hospitality, I highly recommend staying at the Inn at Bay Ledge.

They are the nicest people and made our trip really enjoyable. It is a quiet place and very welcoming. I will definitely try to come back.
