We had the pleasure of staying there in October, 2019. It is a very quaint older bed and breakfast in very good shape. We stayed in the large room with the fireplace. It was very comfortable and the private porch was a nice feature. The location is ideal for seeing the various parts of Mount Desert Island including Acadia, Bar Harbor and the surrounding area. The owners were very nice and gave us good recommendations about places to see during the busy tourist season that weren’t too crowded. We left a gift there and they were kind enough to mail it to us. i would highly recommend this if you want a quiet place to stay while exploring the area.

We just spent 3 nights there and were very happy with everything. Quaint and clean accommodations and friendly service. Nice distance from town and close to park access. Especially good for the price!

My dtay at Heathwood inns has been exactly what I had in mind for a peaceful getaway. Everyone is very nice and the community area is very warm and cozy. Each room has a nice name and decorated nicely. Come with robes and your own bathroom which was a pleasant surprise. Lena is amazing she is so kind and helpful even if she's all the way down in Florida visiting Family. She's truly amazing ud83dude4f my made getaway complete. My room has a fireplace, tv, table with chairs, dresser, fan, and it's very quite. I will recommend this place to anyone that comes up here and to everyone that reads this. I highley recommend stop in at Heathwood Inns.

Perfect Place to stay on Mr. Desert Island. Everything is a short drive away. Bountiful & delicious breakfast served every morning and the hosts (D&D) were very friendly, accommodating, and awesome. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, and I soaked in the big tub at least once a day. We stayed a wonderful relaxing week. Thanks again for everything ♥

Just lived this place. The host were great. The food was wonderful in the morning. Right on the bus route which goes all over the park and is free. You can also take your bike on the outside of the bus. Rooms were very clean.
