Clean cute and quite. The perfect Maine retreat. Close to Acadia and Bar Harbor but far enough to get away from the crowds. Breakfast was fantastic as well. Highly recommend staying here if your looking for a cozy atmosphere to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.

Our hosts, Eric and Sue, were very welcoming and hospitable. Eric was very helpful in providing some really great advice for getting the most of our short stay in the Acadia region. If you want a place that is slightly off the beaten path, yet still very accessible to Mt. Desert Island and the rest of the Acadia NP, this is it. The rooms were spotless, and nicely appointed. The breakfasts Sue prepared were top-notch, and I appreciated the early availability of fresh coffee and the chilled water in the upstairs refrigerator -- very nice touches. The property grounds, with its ponds, berry vines, and garden areas, is just lovely. Lamoine Beach (public) is a short 1/2 mile walk -- get there early to photograph the beautiful sunrise over the bay.

The Chocolate Chip B and B provides each visitor with a sense of home, offering accommodations that go above and beyond. We make an annual trip to this part of Maine and this B and B has become a part of our tradition.

This is a great escape from reality. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxed with a cool wind coming from the pond right outside of the house and the beach situated just a half mile down the road. The beach down the street is a great place to go and watch the hours pass, and when low tide hits marine life can be found throughout the rocks. The food is fantastic, from homemade waffles topped with fresh fruit to a variety of muffins. It is a home away from home and a worthwhile trip!

This is the perfect place to go to escape from it all. As soon as you walk in, the aroma of sweet treats makes you feel at home. The overall look and feel of this b&b is comforting and welcoming. While I think the breakfasts and cookies are one of the highlights, the beds come in a close second- it will be the BEST night sleep you ever get! The location is also perfect- half a mile walk to the beach and about a 20 minute car ride away from acadia and bar harbor, which to me is perfect- provides escape from the hustle and bustle! I have and will recommend this to all of my friends!
