My wife and I were there for a bear hunt in September 2019 the room was nice and clean the food was extremely good and the guides were very experienced and friendly I shot a nice bear on the first day and there were several more killed that week. It’s a nice place just to relax and enjoy the north woods
Love it here
Service is spotty. Young wait staff with turnover due to just being open seasonally. That being said, they are trying. Food is hit or miss, to put it nicely. Keep it simple, steak or burger. Ribs are either precooked and frozen from food service or boiled. I consider myself a seasoned traveler but at the same time, I am a local and i have eaten at a lot of different places. 0/2 so far in the past couple of years on hitting the spot on my food orders.
Good if you are here to snowmobile, I guess. No one seemed to have a clue about what room my wife and I had reserved, and almost gave us some one else's room. Ended up sleeping in a room below the main entrance, super loud until 1:30 am. There is better in fort Kent I would have to say.
