The hotel itself was sketchy ud83dude15. We almost always stay at Hilton hotels while traveling -- and I was reminded why.. This place was shocking ud83dude2c (i.e., it wasn't very cleanly, the floors inside and outside the rooms were SUPER sticky, and the bathroom was really gross)... THE SAVING GRACE: the staff were so friendly and helpful, I have to give this place a second star. Maybe we came on a bad night, but we definitely won't go back.
My family and I were pleased with the night stay.( Even though we were here because of storms)nThe kids had a blast in the heated pool and the room was clean.

We paid for a king bed and were put in o e with 2 doubles. We canceled another reservation because they weren't serving the advertised hot breakfast and made a new reservation here at quite higher rate, because they said they were having hot breakfast included. The second morning, they didn't have breakfast?! ....Without any posted note and no employee to be found. The rooms weren't clean (exhaust fans and toilet bowl were disgusting).
Jibri at the front desk was very helpful and professional, which was greatly appreciated! I am an employee of another hotel chain in another state. My original accommodations at my chain fell extremely short of my brand expectations. I have never stayed at a Holiday Inn before. It was exellent. Housekeeping should also be commended on how well they do their jobs. The room was spotless. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Sylacauga .
