Very clean and nice. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone
I've stayed at the Residence Inn Marriot Decatur for the past 5 months due to a house fire. Now I'm back for another month or so while repairs and restoration are underway. It is truly, home away from home. The hotel is still rather new, only a year old and still very crisp and clean. Modern and contemporary, This hotel will be fresh for years to come. This is more like apartment living than a hotel stay. Housekeeping never bothers you but is always friendly and eager to assist with anything you need. Management and the front desk staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. It's very quiet here. Being displaced from my home for 1/2 a year has been depressing, inconvenient, stressful, and a lot of uncertainties. Staying at Residence Inn has made it all better. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
Room nice. BUT NOT PET FRIENDLY!nRoom was $130 a night...for the people....extra $150 per night for our dog!nnNo apparent notice or warning when we booked.
I typically love Residence Inns but this one is not my fave. The rooms are small (no table, small uncomfortable couch, no oven) and the shower was full of mildew. Also very disappointed in the breakfast offerings. I know it's COVID, but what they did offer was pretty much gone by 8 am and they literally ran out of beverages, including water.
I want to start by stating that I basically live out of hotel rooms for my career. I have seen many hotels in many states across the country. With that being stated, I can honestly say that this Residence Inn is the example of what great service and customer quality should be like across the board. I have not had a single issue from check in to check out. Also, I had the pleasure of meeting the manager Annie and she is truly amazing. She treats every guest as if they were her own friends while still maintaining a sense of professionalism for the workplace and she truly approaches each day with a smile. The condition of the room was perfect everything was well stocked and properly cleaned. I will definitely return to this hotel for my visits in the Decatur area and I highly recommend it for anyone else staying in the area as well.
