Absolutely awful experience.. I was treated so unfair when I tried to check in yesterday.nnThe receptionist (Austin Blair) made me feel uncomfortable, embarrassed and obviously not welcomed. I booked my room a few days prior and had no problems. I had my confirmation and reservation . I always chose hampton inn because I loved Hilton.nnAt check in, Austin informed my finance and me that he wouldn't rent to us. When I asked why he said he wasn't sure. I went to show him my reservation confirmation on my hilton honors account. And he was extremely rude and said that's irrelevant, and said he cannot rent to people from western mass.. he said he doesn't know why but he knows he will not be renting to us. I was so embarrassed and so confused because they rented to us every month since. I felt discriminated and so embarrassed. It was hard to believe that not renting to locals was even true because my fiance asked , how long has this rule been in place? He said two months. And then we shared with him that we just rented a room at this same location 3 weeks prior. His reaction and words were completely inappropriate.. He also said I will still be charged because it's a non refundable room...nnI just don't understand why we were told we couldn't rent at check in and still be charged? Not one person from Hilton notified us that they don't rent to residents of western mass.. especially without explaination as to why they cant rent to people that reside in western mass. We live two hours away and had to call around to find a room last minute. We talked to a few of the guests that night before we left. And a handful of them were indeed from the local area...nnI really would like to know how to get my refund and file a complaint. Because Austin would not share that information with us.. I just know I'll never rent from Hilton ever again.
