My wife and I stayed at The Inn every year for the past six years. The first three were phenomenal, we believed we would make this annual trip forever. Last year’s experience wasn’t great, but we gave them a break due to Covid 19 restrictions. This will be our final trip. This year, our room wasn’t cleaned; when we requested our room cleaned, the bed was the only thing they made, and the new linens were dirty, the trash wasn’t taken out, they took our towels and didn’t replace them. We literally had no towels, they asked if we could wait until the morning, until I said “I don’t even have one towel”, then they brought us some, the window was broken, I ended up fixing it myself. The “custom” notes that are usually left were made out to other guests with their names. We have no confidence that our room was actually cleaned. The first three years, the staff was unbelievably helpful. They went above and beyond to meet or surpass our expectations. This year they attempted to charge me $1100 for one night, and it wasn’t until I complained about it that it was corrected. I could continue, but the point is that this resort definitely has the potential of the 4/5 star billing they claim. Unfortunately, it’s not up to those standards anymore. We will stay elsewhere in the future.
Everything about the inn is superb - pool is small but quite and surrounded by beautiful trees, comfy lounge chairs. Every staff member went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Rooms were elegant, beds comfortable. The Links Grill has AMAZING food, especially breakfast. The Harbour Town isn't anything super special but it's nice to walk to in the mornings, great ice cream place. Walk or get on demand shuttle to the Forrest Preserve, it is an awesome place to get lost in - like being in Costa Rica. Go to Chandlers for Parisian food off Sea Pines. Will be returning to Hilton Head and staying at The Inn & Club again no doubt.
We made these plans a few months ago after I stayed at Seapines in February. This was a special trip for my me, my mom, and son who turned 18. I had them cancel the Marriott reservation my my mom had made because my stay in February at The Inn was outstanding. She canceled the Marriott and we knew that paying double the price here would be worth it for this special trip.nnWe checked in the 28th of March. Once in our room I noticed food crumbs all over the floor around both beds. There were no waters, slippers, or robes in the room. There was a stain on the sheet, and a dried up liquid stains on bathroom cabinets. We also had the dreadful black hair by tub. I called down to complain and was told they were short on water and they came up and vacuumed, apologized and gave us 100.00 credit. Ok fine thanks but please move us or deep clean this 300.00 room. We were promised that would happen. We also received turn down service only on one night. We had to make phone calls down for robes, water every night.nnThe next day we left to go explore and came back to our room hours later. There were no waters, a cleaning spray bottle was left in our room, the dried up stain in bathroom was still there, and no turn down service. There was also a used glove in the hall way. I went down to order a rum and Diet Coke and I was told they were out of Diet Coke. What the heck!nnOn our third day I called to have them make reservation at Coast. I was put on hold for over 12 minutes. When I arrived back at the hotel I went in with my phone still on hold and was told sorry we lost your phone call. What?!? I’m still on hold with your Seapine recorded message being played in the background.nnI have sent several emails to the GM and a reservation specialist to try and talk about all the things that went wrong. I have not had any response.nnWe also went to Coast and paid over 200.00 for a major mediocre meal. I would say go for the view and have a drink but save your money for better restaurants. Actually save your money this place is not cheap. If I am paying 300-400 dollars a night for a room I expect things to reflect a high end hotel. There are too many other places to stay. I wish we would have saved our money and kept our other hotel reservation.
Absolutely loved our stay at the Inn and Club at Harbour Town!! As a travel agent my favorite kind of vacation is staying at resorts (over hotels). Finding that luxury resort-feel within the states can be hard. At the Inn we found that elusive resort experience, starting with champagne in chilled glasses during checking-in (LOVE!)nnOne of the most notable things about my stay was that the Inn at Sea Pines hasn’t cutback on the quality of service they are offering guests because of COVID. As many hotels are removing things from the rooms or limiting services, the Inn seems to be the offering the same level of service and amenities as pre-Covid. I appreciated this so, so much.nFrom the big things like the shuttle is in full-swing down to the little things like a physical book describing the Sea Pines Resort (dining options, etc). This is helpful when new to the area or first time at the resort. (I am missing these things when visiting regular hotels.)nnProminent characteristics that set the property apart against others was the outdoor seating and fire pits overlooking Harbour Town Golf Course, relaxing pool and hot tub atmosphere, and personalized experience the staff provided. The service I received during the stay couldn’t have been better. Because the Inn is boutique-like with less rooms, the staff to guest ratio is perfect. It was nice to be greeted by name as I came and went.nnAs I worked from the room during the day it was so great to be able to walk a short distance for an upscale-breakfast and lunch daily at Links overlooking Harbour Town golf course (see picture). Fine (and high-quality) dining while staying somewhere isn’t always easy to find.nnWe originally planned to stay three nights and two nights elsewhere. Because of the cleanliness and property having all that we wanted/needed, we decided to stay the full vacation at the Inn. The conditions to work from the room were perfect, and I didn’t want to give up the soaking tub. With the shuttle and so many dining and cocktail options within the resort, you could park/stay at Sea Pines and never leave during your entire stay.nnIf you enjoy the finer things and small touches when on vacation then you’ll appreciate the Inn and Club. (Like a spacious bathroom with monster-sized soaking tub.... another thing hard to find in the states. And finally, two robes for both people to enjoy.)nnI will add a note for those who may have a difficult time getting around.... As someone who vacations with a mother who has a difficult time with a balance and walking long distances, I would love to bring her here knowing she could get around the Inn easily and improved stay with the extra-large bathroom setup.
Great rooms and service. Friendly staff. Everything there quite expensive.
