Staff were not enforcing current ordinances related to the virus. A job fair was letting out from their conference room(s) as I was checking in. Not a mask in sight, and nothing said. Also, front desk person kept pulling his mask down every time he needed to speak to me. Multiple other people went through the lobby unmasked. When I approached the elevator to go upstairs, people getting off were unmasked. There was also no signage suggesting one family at a time should use elevators. SC may have lifted their restrictions, but HHI has not. But, no enforcement here and no consideration by the guests either.nnOnce I got to my room, I found the mini-fridge to be even smaller than expected. I had been warned, in other reviews, but it was half of even that. It can hold a few canned beverages, one larger Smart water bottle, and a few sandwiches stacked half on half. That's it. Had I wanted to bring back leftovers from eating out, they would not have fit.nnThe only reason it gets the second star is that the rooftop bar, lounge, pool area is quite nice.

Brand new! Still smells like new construction to me! Amazing decor! Wonderful rooms and pillows! Love the roof top pool and lounge area! Great customer skills! Exceptionally clean! We will be back!! ❤ufe0f

The new rooms and decor were lovely. Most of the staff were very kind and welcoming, but the night receptionist was a bit rude. We had been driving for 5 hours and got there later in the evening, and my husband had to wait 15 minutes for help checking in. Through the masks, conversation is hard to understand, and when I called from the room for clarification on breakfast in the morning, the receptionist was abrupt, telling me he already explained this. Hm.nThe man at the breakfast counter was VERY kind as was the technician who helped with the electronic keys that stopped working. The location is perfect for enjoying the island. A crash course in diplomacy for the night receptionist will probably make visitors feel more welcomed.

We were totally impressed here! In fact, this may be one of the top hotels that we have ever stayed in! It was immaculately cleaned and all staff was wearing masks. The laundry room was very clean too! The rooftop bar was phenom! You can see all the way to the ocean from here! I was more than happy and would love to book again!!

The hotel is beautiful. Pool and bar on the top of the hotel has amazing views. However, we definitely did not get the Bonvoy experience. Service was sub par. When we walked in, they said they were not checking anyone in???? I get that our room might no be ready, but at least offer parking passes and greet your guests. When we finally checked in, they left us standing at the desk and helped other guests in line before they completed our check in. So not the experience Platinum members should receive.
