Spacious and clean room with an adorable kitchen, all neatly arranged for whatever you need it for. Relaxation, office work, dine in or out! This is our second time to stay here. And the staff are great! Our only complaint is that we got the first room on the first floor with windows looking onto the pool. No problem this time of year, but it would definitely be awkward during pool season for someone to be right outside our window... The other thing is the noise from the bar at night & breakfast crowd in the morning. Maybe a little more insulation from the sounds?... Otherwise, we love this place.
My wife and I stayed with this hotel for a total of five nights. From the check in to the check out service was awesome. No matter how many times I left the hotel and came back for work purposes I was ALWAYS told welcome back and greeted as if it was my first time to arrive. Amazing service especially from Madison whom checked us out who was kind and friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. The breakfast was great every morning I stayed. In fact if I was forced to choose one negative thing it would be the 15.00 a day to park my vehicle on the motels parking lot. I will diffently be staying here again.
I had a wonderful experience at Residence Inn until I reviewed my bill. They charged me $30 to park. I have learned since that downtown hotels charge extra to park on top of the cost for the room. They did not tell me this at any time during my stay. I only learned about the charge when I reviewed my statement. I called the hotel to ask what the $30 charge on my statement was for and that was when I was told about the hotel policy of charging for parking. We had two people in the room and we each drove a car so they charged me for two cars. When I asked the hotel manager to please remove the $30 charge from my bill she said no. She apologized that her staff did not tell me about the extra fee and said this was a training issue that she would review with them but she was not willing to take the charge off my bill. On top of this, the night I stayed at the hotel was during a recent snowstorm that made it impossible for my daughter and I to make it home. We had both worked an overnight shift at St. John's hospital she is an R N and I work in surgery. We needed a place to stay from 9 am until 9 pm so that we could make it back to work. We had a very difficult time pulling into the parking lot because it was not yet cleared. Then we walked through at least 6 inches of snow to get to the hotel because there was no clearing from the lot to the building. When it came time for my daughter to leave for her shift at 6 pm she got stuck in the parking lot because of the snow and called to warn me about the lot for when it came time for me to leave. I have a serious problem with this experience and the fact that I asked the hotel manager if she was willing to lose a customer over $30.00 and she said yes. Then she said if there was nothing else she was going to terminate the call, and she hung up. I have reached out to Marriott corporation and I am waiting to hear back from them. As far as I can tell Marriott does not value their customers whatsoever. I will spend the rest of my life telling this experience whenever given the chance or the subject of hotels comes up. I regret my stay with this hotel because of the experience with the hotel manager and the fact that they value $30.00 over a customer. In addition, the practice of quoting for the cost of a room but not mentioning that there is an extra charge for parking is misleading at best. What a disappointment.
Jesse at the front desk was amazing. She is understanding, values customer satisfaction, and truly made a terrible day just a little bit better.nnOn Friday, I stayed in the Aloft Tulsa Downtown where they had bed bugs. I found two and waited since Saturday 530am to hear from the GM to resolve the situation which never happened. He was supposed to call and didn't, he was supposed to come in at 9am and didn't, he was supposed to be in meetings all day (why not step out of a meeting to handle an urgent situation?!), then I learned at noon he wasn't in meetings but was just out of town and would be in at 4pm. He called at 1230, told me he couldn't have our clothes and dog bed cleaned or replace the luggage. He couldn't cover our stay at another hotel. He could switch our rooms... in a hotel that I know has bed bugs, no thank you. It was all on us to handle absolutely everything on our only day in Tulsa. It was a stay from hell and there is a separate review on that.nnThe Residence Inn had rooms available and allow pets. Saturday afternoon, we dragged our belongings which we cleaned/heated/treated ourselves to the Residence. Jesse listened to us vent about our horror story from Aloft and graciously comped the pet and parking fees in hopes that it made our stay in Tulsa just a bit less stressful. Her professionalism and compassion were off the charts and I can't sing her praises enough! The rooms were sparkling clean and the hotel is brand spanking new with amazing style. The Residence Tulsa Downtown was much cleaner than the Aloft and the rates were similar. I highly recommend the Residence Inn Tulsa downtown. Hopefully you get to meet Jesse and she makes your day brighter too!
New building in downtown Tulsa, I had a great stay there, the personnel at the reception were really nice and friendly!!
