Morehead Manor Bed and Breakfast

My daughter and I had a fabulous time at Morehead Manor. We ended up there twice as long as planned due to not being able to get home, yet we were not sad about that at all. Monica and Daniel were really wonderful hosts, making us feel like we were staying with old friends. Breakfasts were five stars! If ever back in Durham will stay here again!!

The best bed and breakfast experience I have had yet! The innkeepers are so nice and hospitable and the house is beautiful! All of the food served is delicious!

Our stay at Morehead Manor Bed & Breakfast was the first stay at a B&B. Let me just say...if you have not had the experience... you should. The chosen room was The Tiger Room and it was beautiful, calming and peaceful. Breakfast was absolutely divine. We both cleared our plates each time. Also, Daniel’s apple cake was unforgettable. My husband will never look at an Apple quite the same. Heck, he may even trade in his iPhone. Daniel and Monica also suggested places to eat and visit during our stay. From the time we were greeted by Monica and Georgia (the kitty)...up to the time Daniel saw us off...my husband and I felt genuinely welcomed. Thank you so much Daniel and Monica for your hospitality, great talks, good foods and warm hearts. We will assuredly be resting our heads with you again.nnTheresa

What A Beautiful old house with the character preserved so well by the owners.Monica and Daniel are the perfect hosts giving you the space you need but so happy for the conversation time with both to get a glimpse of their lovely souls! The breakfast was Amazing and the beds so comfortable... This will ABSOLUTELY be our go to if we are in this area again!

Where to begin. My experience at Morehead Manor can only be described as unforgettable. My wife and I live only about 10 minutes away from the manor; but we were looking for a relaxing staycation for Valentine’s weekend amid the pandemic. We found just that and so much more. From the moment you enter Morehead Manor, the house hugs you like a warm greeting from an old friend. We immediately fell in love with its beauty and charm. When you meet the owners, Monica and Daniel, you understand why the house gives you that warm and fuzzy feeling. Monica and Daniel are two of the kindest, funniest, most genuine people you will ever meet. They have poured their lives and their love into Morehead Manor and you feel it the whole time you’re there. We stayed in the Tiger Room, which was spacious and beautiful. As soon as we were taken up to our room, we were given delicious, complementary truffles and two glasses of sparkling cider for Valentine’s Day. The entire house was impeccably clean and followed strict covid protocols. We had two breakfasts and a dinner at the manor and every meal was better than the previous. Monica’s breakfasts are a great example of how simple ingredients can make the most incredible, soul-warming food. Her omelette is the best my wife ever had. Daniel is also a hidden gem in the baking world and he made sure there were always mouth-watering baked goods to snack on. His carrot cake was out of this world! I have never liked carrot cake; but I kept going back for more. We met some extraordinary people during our stay and I believe we will stay in touch for a long time to come. Morehead Manor was our first bed and breakfast experience and the bar has been set so high. I doubt any other b&b will hold a candle to it for us. We will definitely be back again and again.
