Unscripted Durham

Only giving it a 5 star due to the front desk clerk moving my room to a upgrade and also her customer service was over and beyond. Love her lol .nI paid 189 for a king room, pool view, 349sq ( give or take). I'm very big on space. The Rooms are way to small and plan for almost 200 a night. But the suite I was upgraded too made me smile. Best part is the garden tub ( I am a garden tub, Jacuzzi, big suite type of chick) but this room I would get again. Only the suite for me :)

Igloo getaway package is a total ripoff. Initially the ambiance is welcoming, we had a good time despite the disappointing dinner. We were a party of 8 & our food was served Luke warm. The drinks were good but the food was straight out of a low powered microwave TV dinner package. Which ironic considering none of the rooms have microwaves, nor none in the lounge. Food quality and selection does not equate to the price they charged. We were not told up front about $90 service charge. Also they have a recurring issue with random homeless people in the parking deck checking for unlocked doors to rob. It was our fault we didn’t lock our doors once and we had some items stolen. We went to the desk and they were not surprised, they told us to keep our doors locked. They should just charge people to rent the igloo and buy drinks. Room quality was acceptable. Overall Will not return

My boyfriend and I spent our second anniversary at Unscripted. There were some issues with my reservation but Paul at the front desk resolved them for me and was very kind. We got to check in about an hour early and they upgraded us to a suite! I’m sure due to the pandemic, their restaurant and bar closes pretty early which was disappointing when wanting to grab some drinks, but the staff were helpful in suggesting some local cocktail bars! Overall it was a great experience and I’m happy we spent our anniversary at Unscripted!

It's an amazing hotel. If you are planning to stay in Durham this is where you should stay. It's located downtown. The price (really affordable), the comfort and staff will make your stay really enjoyable.nFrom the front desk to igloo staff they were all really nice. With the exception of one staff member, the whole team was really friendly and helpful and followed Covid protocols.nThe room was spacious and bed really comfortable, I unusual don't sleep well in hotels but the bed, pillows and sheets and rooms air system made me feel comfortable in the room.nThe parking is connected to the hotel so can comfortably walk from the deck to the hotel elevator and then to your room without ever meeting another guest.nNo car noise heard from the deck only from party people in the igloos ud83eudd23ud83dude02nI got to experience it was worth it!nPosting the amazing view from my room.

Great experience and atmosphere. Warning about the terrace music at a party volume (that was felt and heard while in the room) would've been nice but I got used to feeling it after an hour or so. Great tunes, just super loud inside.
