The Cotton Gin Inn

Upstairs is super hot and they need to correct the air! -Dr. Bn(Answer to your question, we are not giving out or last name on the internet! Second off, the room upstairs and your A/C was broke there was a sign) It was too hot to stay there! 1 Star Rating!

The Cotton Gin Inn is a wonderful place just outside of town that is so appropriate for an area like Edenton, NC. We stayed for two nights and everything from a relaxing coffee on the huge porch in the morning to the quiet evenings, it is a perfect place to relax and enjoy. Cheryl, the hostess and owner, is so gracious and welcoming and it is obvious she enjoys her work. She has create a workable and safe environment for all guests. There are a lot of things to praise and use a variety of superlatives to describe, but her breakfasts are absolutely awesome. While we very much enjoyed both breakfasts, the shrimp and grits is a feast not to be missed. The place is awesome, the hostess is great, the experience is wonderful and we will be back.

In the midst of C-19 (May 2020) The Cotton Gin Inn was a sailors refuge. My wife and I had decided to boat on the Intracoastal Waterway from Virginia. Upon arrival at our marina, it was determined it (the marina) was not as advertised. So to Google we ran and stumbled upon the Cotton Gin Inn. We made a phone call around 2pm looking for a place for the night, and a place we got. The Innkeepers husband came and got us from the Marina, taking us back to the Inn as Uber wasn't operating. We had several rooms to select from, and several that were not available due to C-19 cleanliness requirements (unavailable 24 hours after some one stays, and/or 24 hours before someone else stays). They were all clean, nice and tidy, and most importantly comfortable. We choose a room on the 2nd floor which had an ensuite and a large bed. My wife and I had dinner (from a local restaurant) on the front porch, and some wine in the garden area out back. Breakfast the next morning was crepes and fresh fruit with great coffee. When we were ready to depart they took us back to the Marina so we could finish our journey. My wife has already asked when we will be returning.

The room was beautiful with exceptional linens and decor. The breakfasts served were amazing. Truly every thing we ate was so delicious.

Was in Edenton for a wedding. Have not been to this part of NC before and love it. The Cotton Gin is a beautiful B&B. Cheryl was wonderful and the food was amazing!!! Very comfortable. We will be back to visit again.
